Powerlifting

I am a rookie powerlifter who is in the Junior (20-23) age group and 56kg (123.6lb) weight class
I started training for my first competition back in July of 2024, since then I have competed in two competitions placing 2nd and 3rd in both.
Being new to the sport, I am still learning the rules and mechanics of powerlifting.

There are 3 lifts: squat, bench, and deadlift.
For each lift, you have 1 minute to complete the lift, and you also have 3 attempts to get the best weight you can. Each lift has its own rules that all lifters have to follow to get an approved lift.

Coming from a team sport and transitioning into an individual sport, it is very daunting and difficult sometimes, but to see the progress I have made and will continue to make is worth all the early mornings and soreness.
